dogs dogs dogs & how to help

We loved this photoshoot of rescued greyhounds from Cesar's Way (the dog whisperer guy!)! All of these beautiful dogs were rescued by Hemopet in Garden Grove, CA and are up for adoption or have found homes through their rescue program.

We also wanted to mention that a fire destroyed a large part of the Berkeley Humane Society and took the lives of 15 cats, less than a week ago. The Berkeley Humane Society has been helping animals in need since 1927, and need all the help they can get to get back on their feet to continue this heroic effort. According to the Humane Society of the United States, an estimated 6 to 8 million animals are cared for in animal shelters, and between 3 to 4 million animals get euthanized every year...but the BHS has eliminated euthanasia of adoptable and treatable animals, and have placed 100% of their animals in homes since the 1970s. Let's make sure this local institution makes it through this crisis! They are currently seeking volunteers and donations  - find more info at www.berkeleyhumane.org.

And remember - dogs are always welcome at ISSUES!
