New York based 3x3 Magazine comes out but three times and features three illustrators, as well as a showcase of up and coming artists in the advertising and design communities.
Esopus only comes out twice a year, so we get pretty excited when a new one comes in! This issue takes a slightly different format than past editions, it focuses on 12 projects (rather than three) and presents them without text (you can learn more about the artists on their website). It also includes 40 (!!!) removable inserts and 6 posters, as well as the usual music cd!
Communication Arts sponsors competitions in different visual fields: advertising, design, illustration, and photography, interactive and publish the winners in huge annual issues. Slanted is based out of Germany and focuses on one family of fonts per issue. This issue focuses on blackletter!
